#0, Tuelz Install
Posted by ezrydn on Apr-14-05 at 01:50 PM
Today, I printed out the entire forum, as it pertains to TUELZ, and noticed an ongoing problem. People have trouble "installing" the Tuelz modules.

Well, it's time to make it clear "HOW" you do it.

1. Download the free Tuelz and make SURE they are functioning ON YOUR PC! Don't go any further if one isn't working! Refer back to the forum for assistance.

2. Once the 4 Tuelz are functional, you probably want to "add" other Tuel modules. HERE'S where everyone seems to be having problems, per the forum posts.

3. Download your new Tuel modules and unzip them to your Desktop. You won't lose them as they all end with the extension ".mod".

5. After you have the new modules ready, RESTART your PC! Why? Because you may have forgotten to "close" a running version of TUELZ. The restart will give you a "clean playing field" to work with.

6. After the restart completes, just for grins, look in the toolbar of IE, next to the clock, and see if you see a "screw" icon. If not, you're good to go. If it's there, right click on it and close it.

7. "Cut" the mods from your Desktop and "Paste" into the Tuelz folder where you find the 4 tuelz AND the TUELZ.EXE "Screw" Icon. DO NOT START TUELZ!

8. After pasting the modules into the folder, then click on the tuelz.exe "Screw" to start Tuelz. You will be presented initially, with the "tuelbox" page that lists ALL modules that have been "properly" installed. Test each one!

You need to remember, modules must be cut/pasted into a "dead" program, not an "active" one.

And, by all means, PLEASE, read the Basic Requirements needed for TUELZ. Stray from that list and you're dead in the water.

Hope this helps,

John
