#2, How to get keywords into the anchor text in your pages

There's a few ways...

One example would be to write multiple articles on the same topic, like "flower garden fences".

Post one article on Squidoo, link it to a similar article on your own domain, using the keyword text as an anchor. Now, put a third article on an external blogging service like blogger and link to it from your own domain, then link blogger to squidoo.

Squidoo => Your Domain => Blogger => Squidoo

You could also put the articles on your own domain and link them to each other.

However, don't be afraid to link out. Folks are too miserly when linking. Google likes pages that have a link to two to other resources.

Setting up a triangle linking structure like I outlined above is a good compromise, just be sure not to leave any fingerprints like the same adsense ID on all the pages to get maximum impact.

If you were ranking pages (assuming everything else was equal), wouldn't you rank a page higher that links to another page about the same content over a page that didn't rank to more info? It ust makes sense to encourage linking to other resources.
