I'm going to be going to my first concert in November- to see The National play live at Warwick Arts Centre in Coventry, England.

I love the National and I'm going to the concert with my best mate- we're both 14.

Open Question: Syfy ch. has been my fix for scifantasy on t.v., but I would like to pose a much grander scale question?
I hope this makes for some interesting debate, not to mention, determine if I am way off course, or if there are others out there that agree and could add to the conversation with their own opinion. Having watched Syfy channel since 1995, I would say that there has been a serious degradation in the writing of, as well as, the creation of new shows since Farscape, Battlestar, etc... I have no problem with the entrance of "Ghost Hunters", but then that allowed the most recent flooding in of other reality shows that do not have the accreditation that "Ghost Hunters" has. To Syfy's credit, they did have in their back pocket "Haven" and "Caprica", and the somewhat okay "Warehouse 13" and "SGU". My point is, Syfy seems to have been handed the second rate writers of the bunch, as if everyone has been spread like "to little butter spread on toast", (J.R.R. Tolkien, I know, but you get the idea) the writing and creating of new shows seem to be lacking the "Grade A" writers. When I spoke to my brother (another scifanatic), I told him that if Syfy could hire the ultimate dream team in scifi-fantansy drama writers to turn things around, they would be ( in no specific order): Ronald D. Moore, David Eik, Josh Friedman (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), Danny McBride (Underworld), David Twohy (The Chronicles of Riddick, inc. Pitch Black), David Greenwalt and Joss Whedon. Of course, the base question is: Does anyone else out there feel that the writing has gone down hill in the scifantasy t.v. arena (specific to a Syfy channel which supposedly specializes in scifantansy), or is it just me? And secondly, who would you have as an ultimate scifantasy writers to collaberate and create great t.v. I hope this will get everyone's mind off of the legalities of "The Hobbit" movies for a while.
