Open Question: Questions about opening a walk up sandwich restaurant?
One of my dreams has been to open a small, walk up sandwich shop. I already own what I feel is a good location. Its on an intersection of 2 busy roads, and next to a bar which my family also owns. The bar has a large following which I believe could carry its business over to the restaurant as well. There is already a structure that could probably be converted quite easily, I think. I've not looked into the zoning laws quite yet.
I'm envisioning a walk up/carry out place that can be worked by 1 or 2 people, serving a variety of sandwiches ranging from hamburgers, to some mildly exotic thai, or middle eastern influenced sandwiches. Soft drinks, and different types of side dishes would also be available.
I'm looking for some ideas, or problems you see with the "plan" so far? Mind you, I am just in the planning stages, and have all the time in the world to plan, and make sure everything is going to run smoothly..
