I have scrutinized every box and bag of pre-packaged food down to the last ingredient, since I have been a vegetarian for the past four years. (I became a vegetarian when I was nine.) Now I am practically in denial, since hitherto I have been ignorant of non-veggie ingredients such as gelatin, glycerides, and non-specific "enzymes." I can't even have cheese D": So now I must know! I hate when corporations are not specific. Upon visiting the Kraft foods website, I found that they use baby calf-derived enzymes. So now tell me if you think Burger King buns are truly vegetarian. (So much for my BK veggies.)

So on Friday a coworker brought a tray of tacos into the break room to share with the rest of the staff. The tacos were unwrapped and didn't appear to be from a fast food restaurant. Anyway, I ate two of them and enjoyed them very much.

Later, I was horrified to learn that the tacos were actually from the Taco Bell across the street. How could my coworker knowingly poison me like that? I tried to induce vomiting but the tacos had already been digested.

I've been completely freaking out ever since. I'm actually in tears as I type this.

How long until the preservatives, beef hormones and other Taco Bell chemicals are out of my system?
