I'm 18, and ironically doing a music business and freelancing apprenticeship at college. Todays music genre presentation showed me that everyone in the class had their own particular sound they listen to, or genre they follow. But i haven't. I guess you could say i like hip hop, rap, but, i don't want it to be JUST that. I want to become more 'intellectually' music minded, and strech my musical vocabulary to more genres. I am very open to ANY suggestions, so this is my question.

Can you suggest a particular music genre you like to listen to? And tell me a little about it? This would really be a great help, as i feel the need to progress with my musical ideas etc.

Not sure if anyone can help but I really want to find the name of a movie I rented on dvd a few years ago but don't have that much info on it.
It was about a guy who kept waking up in different lives but didnt remember the previous ones and kept getting killed in each life when he started to remember things. There was also a woman who kept coming back in each of the lives in various ways, in one life she was his neighbour and he was a drug addict. It turned out that he wasnt human and his kind were hunting him down to kill him (cant remember why. lol) and he kept putting himself in new lives and bringing the girl because he loved her.
I thought it was called something like "the lives of" and then a guys name but havent had much luck searching that so nt sure.
