My grandparents had a restaurant in Bushnell, Illinois. It was called the Toot N' Tell 'Em. It's sort of like a really awesome past-time Sonic. You drove up in your car and honked your horn. Then, a Waiter/waitress would come up to your car and take your order. When it was ready, there was a tray that hooked onto your window and served as a table. It was really cool and I want to know if anyone has ever been there or knows what I'm talking about? Thanks in advance.

Hi ladies and gents XD

I am trying to concoct a British food book. It will be a book full of different British foods and some How to's on making different British foods that we Americans hear of like "bangers and mash" "bubble and squeak" and stuff like that.
Like, I guess i'm trying to make some sort of guide for someone who; like me; loves Britain and likes British food and would like to have something to look at while in the grocery store. This is going to be an e-book pretty much. I wanna be able to dig my ebook reader out and open this ebook and say like "hmmmm I feel like wine gums, a Turkish delight, Irn Bru and Marmite". so, it won't just be a cookbook, it will be a bunch of British snacks and drinks too. I have a market near my house that sells all types of British goods.
I hope I'm not confusing anyone lol.
So, basically what i'm asking from everyone is to list every single british food you can think of thats common. Even if its not derived from the Uk, but derived from like canada or somewhere (except vegemite, no thanks.). Any thing from normal breakfast foods (cereals, pastries, porridge, anthing!) to snacks of ANY type to sandwiches and lunch ideas. Dinners, late night snacks. Anything that would be eaten through out the course of a day. I know a lot of things are similar to the U.S. so if you have something that is particularly international and not really anything special like cornflakes or frosties or something lol, then don't put it.
Also candies and candy bars and soft drinks! ANYTHING!

Once I have all of the foods I want I will begin to organize it into a book with pictures and stuff. If anyone would like a copy, jus PM me!

Restaurant Week is January 16-30th. I have gone the last few years, and the last time we went to Amada and I was completely blown away! Previous years we have gone to Novita Bistro and the Continental Midtown, Bellini, Branzino, Plough & Stars. We have tried to book Buddhakan every year but it seems to get booked the moment the dates are announced. So far nothing compares to Amada. I have also been to Garces' other restaurants, including Village Whiskey and Tinto. Anyone know if Distrito or GTC compare? Or should we try something completely different?
