Open Question: What's the best thing on the McDonald's menu?
What's the best thing to eat on the McDonald's menu, in your opinion? What burger and/or sandwich do you go for when going in or going through the drive-thru? I like their Biscuits -N Gravy, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Sausage McMuffin, and Chicken McNuggets. As far as their desserts, I like the Vanilla Redcued Fat Ice-Cream (in a cone), M&M; McFlurry, Chocolate Shake, and Apple Pies. As far as their burgers/sandwiches go, I like a simple cheeseburger (make that two!) and a good ol' kids' Happy Meal! I'm doin' a survey/poll here! Thanx!
Omg, how could I leave out their fries?! Did I mention that Mickey D's has the BEST fries out of any fast food chain there is?! Wendy's and Burger King's fries are just plain ol' NASTY! Mickey D's fries beats ALL of 'em! XD

I got a new parttime job at a fast food restaurant,
and was given many different online text books to read and memorize.
But there is so much I have to remember including how to operate and clean
all the machines and equipment! I'm so busy with other things too,

Open Question: The truth about fast food?
I especially am asking about McDonalds, I havent a single problem with the food not being fresh. Frozen and shipped is good for me. But is it true that the places the meat comes from are getting it from cows that are beaten, stabbed, choked, and electrocuted? Does fecal matter really show up in the food every now and again? And I already know that it is cheap because of one thing: Corn, yes corn. Corn is in everything, it's chemicals are vital and essentially the fast food is mixed with components thereof. What makes it so cheap is that the price of corn in Mexico is changing. So the price of corn in the U.S is dropping dramatically. Many people eat fast food so they mustn't deal with the fats and grissle that shows up in steak. Drowning in their own ignorance, they haven't any clue that all of these unwanted elements are still in the food, just finely chopped, and pressed into familiar shapes, then in some cases breaded. So answer my question, Yahoo Answers and I have another, did I teach you anything here?

lets get real, it's cheaper for ME to eat at taco bell,McDonalds and Bk then make home made dinner, but most will will disagree!
I can spend 2-3 dollar the most at tacobell
home..taco kit...4 bucks, lettuce2 cheese 2-3 sour cream 2-3 meat3-5.. yes their will be left overs but even with the left overs i still can get more food at taco bell FRESH with the amount of money it'd cost to make from a taco kit...also mcdonalds...i can spend 3 bucks...i can't even spend 3 bucks for frozen or fresh hamburgers at the market...why do people say homemade meals are cheapier?? They really aren't.....

When I started out I usually had one shift a week.
That was for a couple of shifts.
7 Shifts = 7 Weeks.
I get about an average 3Hours per shift.
Sometimes they ask me to go home early, because the customers has slowed down.
I mean, why would I want to when I hardly get any shifts.

These 2 weeks, I haven't gotten any new shifts.
I even called up and none.
Went in-store to check the rosters, none.
They plan there shifts 2 weeks ahead.

By the way I am a casual - I should be working at least once a week.
But I haven't these couple of weeks.
I think they only need me when they need people to fill in.

I think it is unfair, I am not going to bother talking to a manager.
I am wanted to find somewhere else, but don't know where.

If so how am I going to quit?
Call up and quit?
I honestly think they don't even need me anymore
The pay is okay, not bad.
Working there isn't "ENJOYABLE" but it is okayyyyyy.

What should I do?
Just stay there until I find another job?
I'm 16.

I know fast food is bad but since I know it is unlikely that I will cut it out completely I am trying to make healthier choices when I need to grab a quick bite.

I've heard the horror stories of how hamburger is made (from different cows, scraps, and cleansed with ammonia). Is it the same for chicken? Do they cleanse it to make it safe for consumption? Thanks!!

So tomorrow I'm going for my 4 hour training shift at McDonalds. But I don't actually know what's going to happen. We've already watched the DVD and done the Orientation and I don't know what to expect from this training.

I went to a Subway a block away on a weekday. They were about to close because it was almost 9 o' clock. The place was empty and the employees were cleaning up. I asked for one of those pastrami sandwiches but the guy said they were all out. Then I asked for a Big Philly cheese steak but he said it was all out too. But the look on the guy's face made me wonder if he didn't want to make it since they were about to close. I figured that since these were sandwiches that cost the most then there would be more of these. So, that's the question. Do they really run out of some sandwiches at night? Or was he lazy because they were going to close and did not want to make the bigger sandwich I had asked for?
I do not want to make a big deal out of this. I asked this out of curiosity because I never got this answer at any food joint. I've eaten at nearly every fast food place there is.
