Does anyone know the recipe for the 'old' potato soup they served at Shoney's? Back in the 80's you could stop at any Shoney's in the southeastern United States and be comfortable with the knowledge that you would get the same tasting, thick creamy potato soup. Now forget it. The soup looks like dishwater with few pieces of potato in it. I was told that since the company has down-sized each restaurant has to make their own soup. So anybody out there got the old recipe?

I've noticed that almost every Restaurant I've been to that specialized in breakfast like Ihop or any pancake house, etc. has always looked rather dirty or sloppy.

They never have that polish most dinner restaurants have. Everything just seems sloppy, half-assed, and cheap.

Maybe its just me?
Workers are always less professional as well.

There are 8 million people in this city, many of whom have an interests in the arts - especially Broadway and music. There are 30,000 restaurants and bar, most of which employ people who play music or work in theater. So I figure there must be something - regardless of whether I am personally aware of it or not.
