Your choice of 3 different text editors:
1. BEST => EditPlus
http://editplus.comPro:
Basic HTML tool bar
Built-in FTP program - Can auto-FTP each time you save.
Built-in borwser makes switching between html and browswer views easy.
Free 30 day trial
Con:
After 30 days still runs but with nag screen
To get rid of nag screen costs $35 - However discounts sometimes can be found for $25.
2. VERY GOOD => Notetab Light
http://notetab.com/
Pro:
FREE
Very powerful, lots and lots of features
Has useful "document to html" feature, which converts a simple text file to HTML very well. (I use Notetab just for this.)
Con:
Need to upgrade to get HTML tool bar, but does have good clips for html. (tool bar is better)
No built in FTP, but can be configed with Windows FTP. I didn't try.
Too many features, many for hard-core programmers. A lot of this stuff slows productivity if you're just focusing on creating marketing webpages.
3. GOOD => Textpad
http://textpad.com
Good text editor, but lacks many of the web design features of the two above. However, if you've already paid for it, you can use it but I still recommend using EditPlus.
