#0, Possible Squidoo Link Exploit

I stumbled across a couple of different things recently and pieced them together. I haven't actually tried this, other than a quick check, but it's worth a further look.First, do a search from this site that searches Google, but strips the results into pure URLs:
http://goohackle.com/scripts/google_parser.php
Enter:
site:www.squidoo.com "0 points" your keywords
Here, we're looking for relevant lenses that contain plugin for Squidoo that allows us to add our links to the lens.
Now, take the list of URLs and paste them into this PR checker:
http://www.prtool.info/multiple-pagerank-checker.php
This will give you a nice list of lenses that contain this plugin aned the PR of each lens.
NOTE: The PR script messes up the link a little, figure out the error and adjust. ( Hint: http://http:// )
Go through your URLs and any page you find with PR, even a little PR, add your links.
Look for a "module" of links where each link has little blue up/down arrows, and are ranked #, #2, #3, etc.
Hopefully, you will see a button "Add To This List"...However, not every lens allows you to add links, but a high enough percentage do to make this worth while. If you don't find a ""Add To This List" move to the next URL that has PR.
You have to be logged into a Squidoo account to add your links. And once you are logged in, "vote" for your own links to push them up the list a bit. If you have multiple Squidoo accounts, even better.
Some of these lenses moderate these links, others don't...However, if you have decent/relevant content you should be fine either way.
I believe you can add more than one link at a time...But don't spam (Karsten!!! LOL) and be relevant, as this could be a valuable exploit that we don't want closed by abuse.
Someone please give this a trial and a short follow up report?

Great find kurt, thank you.
1 question? will multiple links from 1 place meaning squidoo be bad?

I'm not positive, but I don't think it would be bad.
Also, if you have a network of sites you can always create one link to each.

I just checked it again, using "vespa" as the keyword and it worked for me...
What specifically didn't work for you?

I did a quick test of the entire system...Using "vespa" as a keyword, I found a site about legalizing pot, and we have a thread about this on www.Duelz.com , so I added a link to the specific thread. Then, I casted a single vote which got the link up to #4. Just one more vote would put it at #2.
To check it out for yourself, goto:
http://www.squidoo.com/should-pot-be-legalized
Search on page (control + f) for:
Duelz
You'll see the link I just added:
The "War on Drugs" - Duelz Debate Forum
It's a free link from a page with a PR of 3.
Now, I'll go to pingomatic or similar resource and ping the lens.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

Brilliant! It worked for my quick test. Didn't find any high PR lenses for my test niche but it has lots of potential.>It's a free link from a page with a PR of 3.

And it gives you the option for an RSS feed specific to that module:
http://www.squidoo.com/xml/plexus/183713
Submit and promote that pheed. Your link is nicely camouflaged with other related links.

Hey Top Hat...
Good to see you and great find. Being able to submit the RSS pheed is huge and makes this exponentially more powerful.
To grab the URL of the RSS pheed:
Click the "Grab This List" button.
Check: Get the RSS feed: Keep an eye on this Plexo list. See who wins. And who's left in the dirt.
Then click: "Grab the XML"
This will take you to the RSS page.
Copy the URL of this window and use this URL to submit to all the various RSS directories.
I use Big Mike's RSSBot:
http://www.incansoft.com/IS0012.php
I got it for $7 on sale, it's now $25...You may be able to find a coupon for it. If you do find a discount coupon, please post it here.
The links in the RSS pheed go directly to your sites and pages, not squidoo, so this is another great resource for getting links. You have a link on a PR page, plus the ability to submit RSS pheeds.

What I found amazing was how few lenses showed up for the keyword I entered. Interesting technique. Thanks, Kurt.

I'm bumping this thread because:1 It's a good source of links
2 I didn't include this strategy in Think Links.

I am noticing a few of these are getting really spammed though. Would you still add your link if that were the case, or does "the company you keep" in that situation prevent it from doing much good?
