Ernie had posted a fix in message #12 to this a couple weeks after Kurt released the script:

I wouldn't consider it a program error anymore if the fix is already posted. No investigation or grunt coding work is really needed, just reading and following the steps.

The instructions are clear to "Customize Each XML Page" and if you miss the tag typo, you haven't done enough customizing.
