ok, I'll bite lol....

Hey Mike,

Firstly, Fatty can be used in several ways, plus you can set it up where it will work with BlogBomb too.

Kelvin posted a thread about building directories with Fatty. Or you can do something like QS that is in my sig file. They are both directories so why not start with something like this?

Either type of directory will work if you do it right.

Plus directories can very easily turn into major hub sites for you too in the end.

Kelvin put up a niche directory that stands on its own. You can go read how he monetizes his in this thread:

http://www.dombom.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=28&forum=DCForumID42

Mine is a little different. It is a more generalized type of hub with a directory in the center section. I started this site when I was new to bombing and made about $35 per day after the first month...then I pofited more with each passing month. Now I am up to an average $75 - $100 any given day.

I created the directory (the center section) first and linked QS to a hub site that is getting lots of traffic and is in good standings with the Search Engines. Then I went hunting for more sites to link to.

The links to those sites on either side of the directory came later.

I did these things with the directory as beginning income streams:

1) Put up Adsense blocks

2) Put up links to my products and affiliate products on either side.

3) Charged for link submissions when I started getting good traffic.

After the 2nd month, and as I started to get more traffic to it, I started charging people for links. These are some of the site URLs you see on either side of the directory, where I said I was putting my products and affiliate products up.

I charged $25 for a link placement for 6 months.

After I got a few people who bought into it, I changed my settings in the search results to reflect links to my own sites, blogs, and products, and added some affiliate products into the mix. Not a whole lot mind you. Maybe a tenth of the directory listings.

So not only do I get some income coming in, I also get some traffic to some of my other sites and blogs, plus Iam able to help get traffic to some other people.

This is not the easiest or fastest way to get income coming in with Fatty, but it will set you up to do better all the way around with income, traffic, and SE standing.

Now after the site has been up for 6 -8 months, I am in the process of changing a couple of things again.

No, I don't like to do it this way because it messes with the SE results, so I am hoping you get right to what I am going to say.

Instead of setting up the links on the sides like they are, I am in the process of building specific niche blogs with BogBomb that will have affiliate products built right into each blog to replace my sites that are still linked on the side of the directory.

Yes, I will still be charging for link placements, and be keeping my listings as they are in the directory. BUT...I will also be funneling some traffic to other places.

I am simply making the hub more beneficial in the long run.

Another thing I am thinking about is using my own text ads boxes instead of Adsense on the site that will show my own and affiliate products.

I think BlogBomb can be used for affiliate links in the actual templates to generate related products.

If not, I know the tuelz will help.

Just remember though, I built this directory with long term results in mind.

You may do lots better by creating Niche directories, and then build some blogs with more narrowed down specific nicheslike you would when creating an LSI website.

If you picked up that LSI ebook from here (it's free to bombers):

http://www.no-secrets-no-lies.com/D0wnl0aD.html

You can find what I am refering to in the keywords and building LSI web sites sections.

Just please remember though, it takes some time and traffic to make money on the internet...especially to get something steady going.

Hope this makes a little sense....
