#0, I have thought of buying xrumer
Posted by russ1 on Dec-13-09 at 10:10 AM
Has anyone ever bought or used this software? I have heard a lot about it a year ago or so and in the last couple of weeks have been looking into buying it.
The problem i have that keeps me from buying it is the forms of payment accepted, they take paypal, but wont give you the software until one week after puchase, sounds goofy to me I think paypal has a rule on 1 week to complain or cancel order, not sure. You can get it right away using moneybookers and some other forms of payment, but if you do a google on moneybookers, they have a bad rap as a rip off.

Thanks
Russ

Hi Russ,

I've only read forum posts and reviews about xrumer, and none from anyone I actually know.

The reviews have been mixed. Hard to tell is it isn't that good, or that some people really don't know how to exploit it in the right way.

Im almost talked into buying, but why a week wait from a paypal payment?
Maybe they think i will use it for a week and ask for a refund?

russ 85% of what you are reading on boards is just plain wrong (based on my experience especially when it comes to seo...)and so might be this advice of mine
I just read this on a uk webmaster board where the poster said that he dumped paypal because of the high fees and high chargebacks

Over the past 12 months, we've had 2 CC chargebacks (88% of our turnover, remember) and 9 PayPal chargebacks (12% of our turnover)

ok Blue sky, thanks for the input, its a little nerve racking to put out over 500 dollars and wait a week to find out if you get what you paid for or got ripped.

If I were you, I'd take a look at ScrapeBox.
It's a lot lot cheaper, than xrumer, and the
developer is constantly upgraded his product.
He has a WSO right now at $47.

I haven't tried Xrummer, but agree with Glenn (and Russ) to get Scrapebox.

since I heard only good things about the scrapebox I will get one myself...you never know with those WSOs

I can relate to Russ regarding the "trust issue" after I bought this linkwheelsoftware from Ankur which never properly worked

@Russ Have you looked into linkfarm evolution???? (they have a money back sort of thing)

I feel bad about LWS from Ankur because I recommended it at first. I tried to tell him to keep it simple and just keep it working, but he thought he had to add every suggestion that anyone made.

I'll try to replicate a lot of what LWS did using ubots.

Also, instead of Linkfarm Evo, consider Scrapebox and BookmarkingDemon and Blogbot and save some money and get more value.

Yes I also use linkfarm evolution, with that said You might want to go with what Kurt advised.
Dont get me wrong LFE works to some extent and is very fast but it is getting very low success rate when it comes to creating new blogs on wpmu, it seems to use a lot of server resource also.
as far as commenting on pligg sites I dont know what my results are, as I dont go to the sites as I hear they are easy to get trojans and such from

Kurt DONT!!!

Ankurs LW showed what is possible if you are lucky enough to find decent coders (especially if you compare this to weblinkrobot with their style of net/vb coding which works to some degree and is updated but lacks some kind of "elegance" and success rate is about 50%)

@russ - thanks for the feedback on LFE

I'm going to do some of this stuff with ubots.

I can do it now, but am trying to figure out how to "error proof" the bots so that if one site fails the bot will skip it and move on. And sites will constantly fail, as they are always changing. I actually made a forum post about this very issue on the ubot forum.

The other problem with BOTH weblinkrobot and liknkwheel software is that they use 3rd party captcha solutions...And these have been really undependable. They are basically services where you send the captcha images and someone, somewhere fills in the captchas for you.

They tend to work OK for a little while, then you get someone that doesn't read english letters very well, then the captchas fail, causing the entire script to fail.

I'll probably make some bots where you need to fill in captchas yourself, as it is really the only dependable way, as boring as it is.

I won't have any fancy "linking", and just use the bots to create accounts, etc.

I need to figure out how to combine Scrapebox results with ubots and we'll be in really good shape.

Kurt, if you follow this link here http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-ppc-seo-discussion-forum/144215-best-link-building-tool-2.html

you can see that a lot of people are using every tool they can get their hands to - so IMO the real value of a small community like this one here (as already pointed out by other members) is to share ideas, come up with new strategies etc! just my 2 cents ...
