LSI is the abbreviation for Latent Semantic Indexing, which is simply a method for trying to determine the meaning of words by examining other words contained in the document.

For example, a page containing the word "apple", with other words like, OS, computer, Mac, software, we may assume the page was about Apple Computers.

But if the word "apple" was in a document containing words like pie, baking, crust, cider, we may conclude the document was about the fruit.

There is actually a way you can check Google to get a hint at what they feel may be words tightly related to a particular search, just add a "tilde" to the beginning of your keyword(s)...For example, if your search is:
music

Just add a Tilde ~ to the beginning:
~music

If you use music as your search, only the word music will appear in bold in the SERPs. However, if you use the tilde and search for ~music, you will notice that other words/phrases are highlighted in bold, in addition to music:

radio
audio
mp3 music
mp3

These are words that Google may think are closely related to the word "music" and should probably be used in conjunction with the word music to help Google determine the relevancy of a given document.

You can do this simple search at Google yourself, but here's how LSI Tuel makes things a little easier for you:

- The LSI Tuel will perform the search, THEN return only the keywords highlighted in bold, making them easier to copy to your clip board.

- Next, The LSI Tuel will repeat/"loop" the process and run the search on all keywords found in the first search.

The LSI Tuel only repeats this process on the "second level". While this doesn't build big keyword lists, it isn't supposed to...The goal with this tuel is to find the words Google feel are the MOST RELEVANT to your MAIN KEYWORD, not to find the most keywords.

If the LSI Tuel looped/repeated this process on more "levels", the relevancy would be distorted, which defeats the entire purpose of the LSI Tuel.

If you are looking for a huge keyword list building, The LSI Tuel isn't for you.

The LSI search is a very broad search, so it works best with very general, one word phrases. It isn't meant to produce a comprehensive keyword list, and is best used to create suggestions of words to blend with main keywords to potentially help over-all relevancy of your pages.

I suggest you spend 5-10 minutes (no more no less) researching and hand-editing a list of potential LSI related keywords and be sure to also use these keywords in your articles, pages, html tags to compliment you main/general keywords to potentially help increase you site's and page's relevancy.

HI Kurt!

Hope all is well.

I just purchased a LSI tool from someone on WSO.

Then I checked in here and see that you have one! How do I buy it?

Thanks and blessings,

Ed

Hi Ed...

You just go to www.tuelz.com and download it.

I haven't set up individual downloads yet, so you'll need to download the entire package of free tuelz. Just be sure you do NOT over-write your full power tuelz with any of the free ones.

For more LSI research, you can check out:
http://www.quintura.com/
(which is included in the TuelBar)

And, I also like to use Google Sets for more LSI suggestions:
http://labs.google.com/sets

The LSI Tuel, Quintura and Google Sets are all FREE.

(I think I'll also post this in the marketing/seo forum)

Hi Ina...

To be honest, this is an error my programer and I haven't figured out.

Are you using a shortcut to start Tuelz, by chance?

You can try a fix, found on this thread:
