in a nutshell:

-use private registration and since google is a registrar now
-hide your identity behind a network of companys and family members(you could even spread them about different continents, using a delaware inc., a british ltd. a spanish S.L.
-use different registrars
-use different hosts
-avoid design, coding and linking footprints

Nice tips !! How to do it right

>-use private registration and since google is a registrar now

Maybe it is me, but I don't use them anymore... Isn't it in your advance if you DON'T hide the info ?
Why ?
* First, it is worthless if you use the same name server for them
* Secondly, the other tips (certainly number 2) won't be needed
* Thirdly, would you, as a search engine, prefer those which aren't hidden ?

Let me know what you think...

Tasari,
Using proxy registration is just the poor mans "james bond" of disquising..
who actually goes through the trouble of setting up a farm of companys over different countries/continents..
In this case you dont have to use proxy registration anymore..
Of course it does not make sense having a bunch of companys as domainowners and then using the same hosting and registrar

Let me know what you think...

I don't know guys,

I guit worrying about hiding my identity through the registrars. If G wants to bad enough, they will find you out. Doesn't matter if you register as private or not as far as I can tell.

The only thing I do do is set up on different servers and alter my info a bit.

It's not law yet, but I have this feeling that it will be. That is, that people will have to diclose their identy and other info on their sites.

Of course I may be wrong here...
