/EDIT

My basic philosophy for on-page SEO is actually very simple: Put as many words on as many pages as possible, then link to those pages.

While putting words on pages, we need to keep basic SEO principles in mind to give our words and pages the best chance of being ranked highly, which is known as optimization.

What differs between my style and other SEOers is that I don't try to optimize a page to be "perfect" and instead try to create a number of pages, each using a variety of different combinations of SEO styles and principles.

For more info in my SEO theories, the following is REQUIRED READING:

http://www.tuelz.com/big-seo.html

Next, we have this interesting page that polls multiple SEO experts about which page elements they consider the most important:
http://www.seomoz.org/article/search-ranking-factors

What's really interesting is what they agree on most, and what they disagree on most...But using my style to build pages in sn SEO friendly manner takes into account just about everything and every difference brought up on this page.

Here's just one example...Page titles are considered the most important element for on-page SEO. But there are different factors for page titles, such as:

Proximity - how close are the keywords to each other in the title?

Density - How many times are the keywords used?

Prominence - How close to the beginning of the title tag are the keywords?

You don't need to remember these terms, just understand the general concepts. This system will take care of all of this for you.

Again, my goal isn't to find the perfect SEO for a page title, it is to cover all reasonable possibilities. For example, we'll want to create pages that vary the proximity, density and prominence.

Remember, there are different SEs and each SE can use serveral algos. Not to mention, algos may often change.

We want to be prepared for any and all possibilites.

So if one of the keywords you are targeting is "cheap wedding invitations", we'll want multiple pages with different page titles such as:
cheap wedding invitations
cheap high quality wedding invitations
Welcome to our cheap wedding invitations site
cheap wedding invitations: You've found cheap wedding invitations
Getting marries? cheap wedding invitations
cheap wedding invitations at discount prices

You'll notice that we've varied the proximity, density and prominence of the keywords in each page title.

We'll want to do this for all aspects of our pages, not just the titles.

I've put together some basic "how to's" using Tuelz on this page:
http://www.tuelz.com/tueltips.html

I'll also create some more tutorials to cover more extreme uses of the Tuelz in the coming days and weeks.

Anyone have any comments or questions?

The Tuelz are very flexible for creating and modifying sites in ways that other programs can't...If you have a specific "need", post below and I'll try to post a "how to".

Kurt,
say I have 100 unique snippets of text and will create out of this 500 - 1000 pages using also fatty and blogbomb to "dedup" the pages further.

How many pages might end up in the "subindex"??

best regards
Karsten

I'm not sure what you mean...But you put as many pages as you want on a domain or in a folder.

Don't forget to use some of them on other network resources...

While Google claims they've done away with the supplemental index, it probably still exists to some degree. Here's what to do:

1. Get a few links to each page.

2. Use long tail keywords and many keyword combos. In the case of unique, one of a kind searches, Google is often forces to use pages in the sup index.

Hey Karsten and Bombers...

In adddition to 50-100 chunks of text, start adding some basic SEO-friendly blocks of html:

<h1>Keyword1 Here</h1>
<h3>Keyword1 Here</h3>
<UL><LI>Keyword1/sentence<LI>Keyword2/sentence<LI>Keyword3/sentence</UL>

Note how the ordered list html (<UL><LI> etc) needs to be all on one line.

Vary how many items in your ordered list. Have 3 in a few and 7 in others. This is a great way to add extra keywords to your pages to create more and more possible combinations.

Other stuff:
-Include the code to a fatty search box, with a keyword already entered. Make sure the cgi code is all on one line to use in Randomz.

-Add the html to include a few images or videos. Use keywords as file names and use keywords in the alt= tags. Go to YouTube/Blinkx etc and pick out 5-10 good videos and use the same few repeatedly on your pages.

I'd suggest having ABOUT (no need to be precise) 20% of your chunks being html elements and the other 80% OR SO being chunks of text/content.

Not only does adding the html chunks add SEO Friendly elements to your pages, once you get the formatting down, this will turn your "doorway" pages into "real" pages.

If I am correct then... following possibilites...

IF webhost does support cgi scripts
1) install blogbomb on site ( use it to add latest news etc)
2) create pages with snippets (parts of articles) OR use blackhole pheed (with blogbomb installation)
3) with Fatbomb results => other possibilities to add Fatbomb if we don't have RSS feature ?

If webhost does NOT support cgi scripts or bloggers or WP blogs (with plug-in)
1) use NewzTuel for doing point 1 + 2 + 3 (only if you have Fatbomb RSS) + ZZTuel to create on webhost

This to be used for tin sites...

I hope this isn't out of line in this thread but I just wanted to thank you, Kurt, for the info you gave in the first post. I am reading it and it is helping me with questions I had for revamping a site that I lost due to losing the hosting along with the most current version of the site. It'll be interesting to see what it turns out to be using your help. Thank you.

Hi Taz...

That's pretty good. Just remember every site doesn't have to update, and on the sites that do update, not every page needs to update.

In reality, I'd bet that most sites aren't updated.

In fact 2 should have 2 blackhole pheeds :
1) tin.rss
2) silver.rss

about 1) should be a combination of black hole pheed tin.rss + blogbomb (news info) + fatbomb results + our own articledashboard (but only xx words )

IF PLR or non-unique or spinned articles, never use black hole pheed tin.rss ALONE, always combine with the rest.

I got already these combination :
tin.rss + blogbomb
tin.rss + fatbomb
tin.rss + articledashboard
blogbomb + tin.rss
blogbomb + fatbomb
blogbomb + articledashboard
fatbomb + tin.rss
fatbomb + blogbomb
fatbomb + articledashboard
articledashboard + tin.rss
articledashboard + blogbomb
articledashboard + fatbomb
tin.rss + blogbomb + fatbomb
tin.rss + blogbomb + articledashboard
tin.rss + fatbomb + blogbomb
tin.rss + fatbomb + articledashboard
tin.rss + articledashboard + blogbomb
tin.rss + articledashboard + fatbomb
blogbomb + tin.rss + fatbomb
blogbomb + tin.rss + articledashboard
blogbomb + fatbomb + tin.rss
blogbomb + fatbomb + articledashboard
blogbomb + articledashboard + tin.rss
blogbomb + articledashboard + fatbomb
fatbomb + tin.rss + blogbomb
fatbomb + tin.rss + articledashboard
fatbomb + blogbomb + tin.rss
fatbomb + blogbomb + articledashboard
fatbomb + articledashboard + tin.rss
fatbomb + articledashboard + blogbomb
articledashboard + tin.rss + blogbomb
articledashboard + tin.rss + fatbomb
articledashboard + blogbomb + tin.rss
articledashboard + blogbomb + fatbomb
articledashboard + fatbomb + tin.rss
articledashboard + fatbomb + blogbomb

Wooow. It could easier if you have Fatbomb with RSS,so you could replace fatbomb by blogbomb (fatbomb results)

Be sure you completely control your gold sites, meaning your owe it with a real domain name with unique IP. Best to use is a VPS for all gold sites, you can give eeach a different IP address.

Pfff Kurt my brains are full motion

Hi Taz...

I meant whatever YOU meant...You requested it a few posts above. (See text in bold above)

But, I do think you meant for Fatty to export as RSS.

I'm not sure, but those files for Fatty to RSS may have been written by Jeff Hope.

I thought you already had Fatbomb with RSS and gave it away very temporary

I have looked at those files, it seems to be correct but some conversions missing like ' and " and < etc

I will have a look at it and get it more updated.
