Posted by kelvin brown on Dec-10-07 at 11:51 AM
I need help testing some blog postings.

Since this is a test, underperforming blogs will be fine.

I want to start with wordpress.

I will need to be able to post to the blog. So, I will need a user login.

What am I posting?

It' is your blog, so I will be posting on target information, from various news feeds, i.e. about.com google news, yahoo news.

You can see sample posts here,
http://vegabase.com/prescriptions/

Most posts will contain random links to one or two of my site.

In the sample above, it refers to a prescription drug search engine, and the the wiki entry on prescription drugs.
You sites will not be flooded with post from me. Ideally you will see 2 - 4 posts per day from randam sources.

How does this help you?

Content, relevant content is added to your blogs.

How many do blogs do you want? Give me a couple keywords that you want in the title and I'll create a few on free WP hosting and send you the logins.

Hi Top Hat,

The first option is to choose topics that will benefit you.

However, if you are just helping with the test, may as well choose, prescription drugs or scuba diving.

Thanks

Any topic can be a benefit sooner or later.

I'll have them ready in the morning. PM or post your email address you want the logins sent to.

A couple more keywords would be helpful - there are a lot of different prescription drugs out there.

Hi,
Thanks for the offer.
I have one underperforming blog, but it is on blogger.

I will create a new one of wordpress and send you the username and logins.
I have already thought of the topic.
Do you want it to be on our own hosting or will a free hosting do?

bye,
faraz

Hi Faraz,

You can send the blogger one also. Where it is hosted is not important.

Thanks

Hi Faraz,

This is your blog, so I will not post it publicly, however, if you take a look you will see my autoposts.

Let me know what you think. All around.
Quality, ease, free content for you, etc.

Plus, of course you can still add content at any time.

Notice each post has a random link at the end, pointing back to a site of my choice. If you like I can add one or 2 links to sites of your choice as well.

Hi Kelvin,

Yes, I saw the posts. One of them seems to be from a news site and the others are from some really big sites.

Could you put my affiliate links there?
Or maybe I should just put the affiliate links in the sidebar.

Anyways, its nice. Will you be posting in the blogger one also?

bye,
faraz

Hi Faraz,

I am not actually using a script. I am using desktop software.
And as long as I am connected to the net, and have a login and pass I can post to most blogs.

Here is one of the other new blogs just setup for this purpose.

Kelvin,

Are you using or do you know about any automatic blog creator for Wordpress? Something like the one Kurt provided for blogger blogs?

Also if I may repeat this...

Till our networks are up, what do you recommend as the fastest way of indexing pages in google for brand new sites?

I've got sites indexed in msn and even yahoo often in 48 hrs but Google seems to behave differently for different sites even they are both brand new.

Mou,

Don't worry about the fastest way to get a site indexed.

It can happen 10 minutes on some sites and others will never see the light of day in the SERPS (Google, Yahoo or MSN).

Look at the profile of a blogger account created with the tools Kurt posted earlier:

http://www.blogger.com/profile/05441507192588766847

2 blogs are made with similar content minutes apart.

One gets indexed in a couple hours and the other hasn't been indexed yet in over 10 days.

Can you tell me why?

All the tools and tips posted in the forum help, but when used together that's what makes them powerful.

Kelvin is on to something in this thread. He is using his content on other's sites in a win-win situation.

Friends give him blogs to post to and they get content and pings that help them get indexed. He uses different content, tools, timing, frequency than I would to post to my blogs. It only makes the blogs work that much better for both of us.

Thanks to Bob, Faraz, and Mou,

the test for posting to wordpress blogs is working great.

I will show you one of my personal blogs, I am submitting to with the same basic formula.
http://vegabase.com/prescriptions/

What exactly am I doing?
First, I determine the intended content for the blog.

Then I go about searching for rss feeds that appear to have highly relevant, and constant content. Ideally a minimum of 4 different RSS sources.

I then add these feeds to my desktop program, Blog Auto publisher.

All info is published randomly. For example it may be set to publish 2 feeds twice a day, 5 hours apart. There may be 20 available feeds however, it will randomly choose and publish only 2.

Included randomly in feeds are, a link or 2 to a site I own, or to a relevant affiliate link.

Also, the anchor text will be random as well.

============

What does this mean for me, what does it mean for you? As Bob said, it's a win for each of us.

If you are my partner. And I am posting to your blog. Key here is YOUR blog. I am just a guest poster. You still control if I can post, you can post your own content at any time.

What you get, random mostly good content posted frequently. You can even ask that I post only 1 once every week. You can also suggest places for me to get relevant feeds.

When I post, you get pinged, and noticed in other places. Technically, you never actually have to post.

I can even include your random links in the posts with mine.

What do I get?
==============

Well, I get to post my links in random blogs that are not leaving big foot prints back to me.

I get to post lots of links, with anchor texts back to sites I own.

What would I like to see?

========

I would like to build a small network with my bombsquad friends.

Lets assume that of just 25 fiends in the network, there are a total of 75 blogs. Of those 75 maybe 8 are based in the same broad niche.

Let's say health. Well, I want to help my friends who may not be aware of each other, right? So, I could add not only my random links, but random links of my other health friends, and post those to the other 7 health related blogs.

Because it is random, we might see that over the course of a week, each health related partner, has anchor text of his choosing randomly posted to at least 5 health related blogs. Over time, that could easily expand to 20 health blogs a week.

Remembering, all the while that posting to one blog is usually like notifying 20 other websites that you have health related content.

Now, as for wordpress, one thing of note, is that if you host it yourself, you can create a login account for me as a high level user, without giving me admin access.

Now, that I know everything is working for wordpress, I will with Kurt's permission open a new post looking for partners.

i still need to test posting to blogger and livepad, and journal.

Hey Kelvin,

Let's post this on the Buy - Sell - Trade - Wanted thread:

http://www.dombom.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=51&forum=DCForumID42

Or, just use this thread?

PS. It's a very good idea. It's seems that you could use Scrubz and Copernic Summarizer (Which Noel posted on another thread):
http://www.copernic.com/en/products/summarizer/index.html

You should be able to create very high quality RSS pheeds quickly and easily.

I haven't tried Copernic Summarizer...just have heard good things, but I have tried Scrubz.

Can you make RSS pheeds?

Hey Ernie:
>Copernic, Scrubz, and the LSI tool work very nicely

Thanks for confirming my hunch. I can see why they would probably be very effective when used together.

I'd like to do a video on how to use them. This would be a very effective way to create RSS pheeds that can be used on blogs, newsletters, BlogBomb, ZZ Tuel, etc.

Hi Kurt,

This particular program does not create feeds,

It manipulates data.

Now, with that said, I could create a main blog of my own, with categories, and give out those feeds.

Also of note, not only can it repost feeds, you have notice I can add random links, content to the feeds before reposting.

I can and will be adding full articles to be reposted as well, and snippets. Again, breaking the patterns of just feeds with 200 or so characters with articles of up to 200 to 800 words.

here's the thing...I have a couple blog subdomain farms..they've been up for 2 years...I experiment with them...they don't do squat for money except an occasional burst here and there...

so, if anyone has suggestions on what to do with them or wants posting abilities let me know...

Are they indexed or banned?

I don't want to hijack Kelvin's thread...But, if any of them have any value you could use his offer. If they are banned, I'd just move on and forget about them.

The other stuff should be discussed elsewhere so we don't distract from Kelvin's offer.

And if you do choose to hijack, I still want to be a passenger.
