#0, Error code and not being able to save config
Posted by tjk1058 on Oct-18-07 at 04:10 PM
I install the script but I'm having problems making it work.

I can't get it to save the type of skin that I want it to use.

When I try to save it in admin under "generate search box" and click test it keeps redirecting me to a domain purchasing site?

When I just click on the generate button it keeps changing the skin back to default and with the default domain in the box?

Then if I go to search for a keyword I get this error:

Error!

cannot read channel configuration
(/virtual/var/www/cgi-bin/blogbombx/data/config.pl)

When I try to view my site:

www.mydomain . com or www.mydomain .com/index.html it brings up my directories?

Am I missing something?

I followed the read me file included and have gotten this far but now I'm stuck?

Please help.

Ted

HI Ted,

First, Join us in the private BombSquad forum...I have new stuff and videos in there.

http://www.dombom.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=list&forum=DCForumID42&conf=DCConfID5

If you get an access error, email me with your user name and I'll get you in.

It sounds like more than one problem to me...

First, go the the admin.

Click: feeds

Then delete the "Configure BlogBomb feeds "feeds" box.

Do you mean your home page isn't showing?

Did you delete an htaccess file?

If you keep having problems, you can email me your FTP info and I'll have Kirill (my tech expert) take a look...

Also some things to check :
* Did you upload in ASCII, not in BINARY (this gives problems)
* Do you find the file mentioned ?
* Is the complete path correct to it ?
* Is everything uploaded correctly ? Sometimes it happens a file is uploaded but zero bytes !! (I have this sometimes)
