1. "Brad Callen's SEO Mindset"

I just got done reading "Brad Callen's SEO Mindset" ($47)
http://www.seomindset.com/New.htm

To be honest, I didn't learn a thing and if you have moderate SEO experience, there probably isn't a lot of new info for you, either.

He does give some good pointers about rating links, sites, etc, but IMO this is over-kill and the time spent doing this analysis is much better spent just being productive. And this is the strength of the ebook.

Also, some of the info was out of date, even though the ebook was just released.

His "secret" linking resources are mostly posted in this very forum, and some are convered using Pete from Oz's software, just as Yahoo 360, etc. And his directory/link submission recommendations are better covered by Planet Ocean.

Even though Planet Ocean (http://www.searchenginehelp.com/senewspeek/ ) is more expensive ($97 a year), I feel it's a much better resource and value for your money. Planet Ocean has more, better info and a one year subscription comes complete with monthly updates, to make sure it's up to date.

Recommended: For raw noobs only.

I'd give Brad Callen's SEO Mindset 4 Bombs (out of 10).

2. "Automated Blogger Poster"

   Automated Blogger Poster

I purchased this script from the WSO for $12.00. Its normally $17.00

The setup is fairly easy if you are familiar with installing scripts and cron. It works quiet well. You can setup a separate project for each Blogger blog. For every blog you can add unlimited RSS feeds, although this may cause server issues.

I have had it running for a few weeks now on 10 blogger blogs with only minor issues. I found that if there is a problem with one feed it will stop working so you need to monitor it.

One possible problem is that it posts to all the blogs at the same time each day. I change the cron settings once per week and I plan to install it on different IPs as I add more blogs.

One other issue is I cannot delete projects and when I opened a support ticket I got no reply, so don't expect much support.

All in all for $12.00 its good value. (5 Bombs - 10)

Noel

LAST EDITED ON Feb-15-08 AT 00:06 AM (PST)

OK, my first post here is a review of this WSO from Ed C.

<http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=220648>

He basically shows you how he uses his traffic tracking software to
look at live traffic from visitors and SE crawlers. Basically, he looks
at the visitors log in his software, and by looking at the referring
pages, keywords, etc. he can get ideas of making content for his sites.
His example is some people are coming on to his site with long-tailed
keywords he would never think of.

He also looks at the search engine crawler log and what pages they
are coming in and indexing. Then he describes how he adds content to
pages as search engine spider food to attract them.

For someone without much traffic analysis experience, the information
is worthwhile. He offers the PDF report for $12 and the report and
software combo for $27. He presents the info in a different
perspective to get you thinking (at least for me).

I actually got the PDF report but he sent me the link for both the
report and software (don't know if it was a mistake).

6/10 bombs for report and 7/10 for report/software.

4. "BookMarking Demon"

Thanks Noel and Toiman...

Bookmarking Demon ($97)
http://bookmarkingdemon.com/

BMD adds your URLs to various social bookmarking services.

Good:
Many features

Auto account creation (some services require captchas)

Uses text files for account creation. This means they are easy to trade and exchange

Searches for,and posts to "scuttle" sites. Scuttle is a script that allows webmasters to run their own bookmarking sites.

Posts to about 23 bookmarking services. However, only about 2/3s of these are active at any given time due to services changing their format.

Good updates to account for services changing format.

Bad:

Complicated interface

Takes a while to open and run

Basic "how to" is OK, but could be better.

Plan on taking an entire afternoon/evening reading the "readme", viewing videos in order to learn how to use BMD.

IMO, BMD is a "must have" for those involved in serious SEO. Despite its drawbacks, it's the best at what it does and provides a valuable service to get pages indexed and links.

8.5 Bombs (out of 10)

NOTE: Someone should sign up for the Bookmarking Deomon affiliate program and post their affiliate link on the BUY SELL TRADE thread:

If it's a quick suggestion, just post it here.

If it's a detailed, in depth "how to", you can start a new thread about BookMarking Demon.

ok then - since Bookmarking demon is able to post to the (open source) scuttle social bookmarking script we could establish a "shared" ring of scuttle bookmarking sites. This is very similar to your idea of "hosting exchange!"

   Hi all,

was intending to buy BookMarking Demon but like to know more about it first. Is it really automatic in terms of bookmarking after I set it up and running? some other programs needs you to do some work for every usage which is time consuming. I like to know how much time we need to spend on it for every bookmarking session.

Hi Christopher,

The work is in creating accounts. BMD automates as much as it can, but it still takes time and effort to create accounts.

After creating accounts, BMD lets you save the info to txt files. At this point BMD becomes very automatic. You pretty much just open a text file with all the log in info and BMD takes care of the rest.

This is why exchanging these text files (account info) is a good idea.

Check out the site for usage videos.

Actually, there's a little more...For each URL you enter to be bookmarked, you need to enter a title, keywords (tags) and descriptions.

BMD will scan the URL and enter this info for you, if you've added them to your page title and meta tags.

However, BMD also has a random feature so you may want to enter additional info so BMD will use different titles and tags and descriptions for different bookmarking services.

   Hi Mou

I have not used this particular autoposter, but I can say with complete confinence, that autoposting in general will not do any harm.

I have been autoposting to various blogs for a while, with no adverse effects. However, I must note that this is just a tool and any tool can be abused.

For instance, I never use the software to post to the same blog more than 3 times a day.

I always make sure to make random post throught out the day. Varing times.

I try to use sources that will give me revelant content.

I try to check on it every few days to make sure the quality of the post is still there.

When autoposting I vary the sources from which the post come from.

Again, very important, it's a tool, it should be used with care.

   @Mou
I just started to look into datafeeds and just own one datafeed site so my opinion here is more or less theoretically
the problem with using datafeeds is: everybody is using the same feeds (like you and me!) While most tools dont allow to mix different resources this tool does
but then you could use Kurt tools like fatbomb blogbomb (e.g convert the datafeed into rss and use it with blogbomb)

Since you have lots of content variety/mix here it could mean an advantage over people just using datafeeds and you could also SEO each and every page which is a mess with WP!

On the other hand WP blogs are getting indexed more easily....

so´... the best approach could be in doing both:
try using wp and this or other plugins and try kurt ideas (I still have to wrap my head around most of them) and see what works best for you
and most importantly SHARE your experience with this with me and others this way we all could save some time along the road to success..

18. "Badass Affiliate Dominator Report"

LAST EDITED ON Mar-18-08 AT 08:47 AM (PST)

Hi Everyone.

I just purchased Pete in Oz's "Badass Affiliate Dominator Report".

http://petes-wsos.com/wso/baddass-affiliate-dominator-seo-report/
($9.99 via paypal).

This was also released as a WSO.

I bought this report, because it sits well with the strategies we use in this forum, and figured that 10 bucks wasn't that much to spare for a few more ideas.

In this report, Pete explains how he used a "window of opportunity" to dominate Google's listings for Mike Filsaime's new product called the "Butterfly Reports". This "window of opportunity" comes from the term "butterfly reports" only having a few listings in Google, and Mike's successful reputation with his current product "Butterfly Marketing".

I get a little weary about purchasing "How-to" reports, because usually it's just another way for the author to push his/her products off on the reader. I must say, however, that Pete keeps this to a minimum. In the report, he explains how he achieved exceptional rankings in Google, using pretty much "no cost" methods. He does a good job of outlining his strategy, so that the reader can copy the methods for his/her own affiliate program or niche.

There is nothing in the report that is new or unknown per se, but the way Pete outlines the method in steps, makes it a useful tool. It wasn't drawn out, it was pretty direct and to the point. He gives links, lots of resources, and evidence to back up his claims. The part of the report that stood out for me, personally, was how he explained that he got his content for promotion. All in all I enjoyed the report.

I give this report an 8.5 out of 10.

Ron

19. "Instant Article Wizard Pro"

LAST EDITED ON Apr-11-08 AT 08:55 AM (PST)

Instant Article Wizard Pro
http://instantarticlewizardpro.com

Instant Article Wizard Pro is a desktop article writing application which requires a monthly subscription to the http://instantarticlewizardpro.com database.

It pulls sentences based on your keyword phrase from search engine results (you can specify which search engine) and blogs etc and groups them into paragraphs. It also includes a keyword research tool.

It does a pretty good job as the paragraphs in most cases make sense and only require light editing if used for blog posting for example. It works better for subjects that have lots of content online already but not so good for some niche subjects.

It's possible to produce a good quality article in 15 minutes even with little knowledge on the subject.

I used it to create 125 paragraphs today which I used to create 1000 articles using tuelz in less that 2 hours.

It costs $27 per month but there is a $7 one month trial at the moment.

Rating: 7.5 /10

I've also been messing around with IAW Pro. It's much better than the desktop versions, and more expensive. Even though it's $27(?) a month, it's still cheaper and faster than outsourcing articles.

It snags sentences from other sites, so technically you should rewrite them.

In a perfect world, you'd use IAW Pro to gather info, then use www.mturk.com to have the sentences and paragraphs rewritten cheaply, then do what Noel did and use the Tuelz method of spinning them into 1000's of pages, or to use as items in a blackhole RSS pheed.

Now use IAW to build a 10-20 page gold/silver site, using Dave Kelly's keyword research method on the keyword research thread.

Then post your 1000's of pages on all the free resources you can, pointing contextual links back to you silver/gold site.

I'll give IAW Pro 9 out of 10 Bombs. I'd give it 10 Bombs if the price was a little lower and I didn't have support hassles with the first IAW.

   Karsten,

Yes I have some pages ranking for low competition keywords using this method, I do more editing on them to ensure the articles makes sense. The articles created using Kurts method read very well especially if you have good chunks of text to begin with, definitely as good or better that some of the articles I see on article directories, but not good enough for gold sites or ezinearticles.com etc. because while they read ok they can be a bit disjointed.

They are perfect for blog posting and blackhole feeds.

On IAW Pro is very good for creating paragraphs quickly and for doing research on subjects you have little or no knowledge.

If you don't like the monthly recurring fees you might want to check out Content Assistant by the creators of Article Post Robot. I got tired of using the so-called article rewriters as they only put out ureadable text. I purchased Article Post Robot and like it so I purchased Content Assistant. It pulls sentences from an online article database, you can insert a plr article to work with or use a local database of your own articles. It uses a system of macros and synonyms (right clicking on a highlighted word give a list of synonyms use)for words or complete sentences....once you rewrite the article using the macros, spin it into however many versions you want then spin it in a tuelz for maximum dedoop and unlimited versions of sentences or paragraphs. You can check it out here http://www.contentassistant.com/ (not an affiliate link)...graphics and video of how the application and macros work. Brad Callen did an extensive video series showing how to get the most out of it....you can find that series at the site also.

The only downside that I have found is if you are writing for a non popular niche it many times doesn't pull any content. If that happens I have been putting several plr articles in it and working with it. The website says they are continually adding articles to the database.

I give it 8 bombs out of 10 for the fact it needs a bigger database.

Bob

Hey Noel and All...

It's all in the "branding"...Just call them:

Random tips
tidbits
Misc. facts
Random thoughts
grab bag of tidbits
sampling of info
goodies
morsels
treats
advice
news
notes
mixed bag _________
assorted _________
different _________
diverse _________
diversified _________
jumbled _________
mingled _________
mixed _________
scattered _________
scrambled _________
varied _________
various _________
multiple _________
numerous _________
serveral _________
some _________
ramblings

If you identify them as "jumbled keyword tidbits" or a "mixed bag of keyword goodies", then they make more "sense" and can used just about any where.

I've put some suggestions above, so that we don't all use the same things...Put a minute of though into it and come up with your own.

Again, if these are sold as "scattered ramblings about pet health", they'll make a lot more sense to the reader.

If you're good with html, you can even use ordered and numbered lists.

For example, use IAW Pro to come up with 50-100 facts/sentences about a subject, then spin them using Tuelz to create a ton of content. In this case, you can spin sentences instead of paragraphs.

27. "Content Assistant"

I bought Content Assistant from a WSO for $27, which was a pretty good deal. However, the price is now $47, and will be $77 once the WSO expires "middle night of 04/18/2008".

http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=236064

It's very similar the original Instant Article Wizard in that it you enter some keywords and it takes sentences from a database of articles.

While this is good to start with, 72,000 articles is actually very limited and you'll be sharing results with other owners using the same keywords.

What seperates Content Assistant is that it has a built in word "spinner" and thesaurus, which will allow you to create various "spun" articles based on word substitution.

This is a good feature, however, if you own Tuelz, SuperListz will be more effective.

For those of us that paid $27, I'd say it's a good deal.

At $47...Maybe. Or maybe IAW Pro.

But I don't think I could recommend it over IAW Pro at $77.

I compared Content Assistant to the ORIGINAL IAW, not the recent IAW Pro.

The original IAW also used a database of articles for its results, and was a one-time purchse.

IAW PRO uses a variety of sources such as Google and MSN Results, plus others, so it will return much broader results and for more narrow queries...For example health vs. senior male health.

Again, Content Assistant is a one time fee and the new IAW Pro is $27 a month, but for $47 vs two months of IAW Pro, it's a toss up. However, at $77 for CA, I think you're better off spending $27 a month for IAW Pro.

And while Content Assistant has added features, these are unnecessary for Tuelz owners.

$27 it's a great value.
$47 (one time) maybe CA. Maybe IAW, depending on your budget, as IAW is a monthly fee.
$77 get IAW Pro.

-Boom boom boom boom.

I would rate Content Assistant a 2 out of 10 and certainly wouldn't pay $77 which is the price now...Why? The Login keeps going into a loop, and nothing happens. I contacted the support and I am awaiting their reply. I am sure it's a good product if they didn't have so many hoops to go through when login in.

I am currently checking out another product I brought a little while ago called PHP Spinner which looks promising. I will let everyone know when I am finish testing it.

Last year I bought David Watson's Web Site Content Wizard but haven't done much with it at the time; however since I am back into the fold I will. I will have complete reviews up on these products when I finish testing them.

I bought this software from Big Mike's WSO a few months ago. This is a handy tool to have if you don't want to go through the frustrations of photoshop and for those who don't have expensive Graphic editors but plenty of headers sitting on their hard drives.

It's easy to use here is an example of my first header I created with this software. You can also make ebook covers which I haven't gotten into yet. Has most of the features the more expensive Graphic editors have.

At $19.95 and ease of use I would have to rate this a 9 out of ten.
