"Who is Interested in a Bookmarking Exchange?"

If you're interested in starting our own bookmarking exchange, and are SERIOUS and COMMITTED, please post here.

This would also include Digg and StumbleUpon.

I'm in the process of hiring someone to create multiple bookmarking accounts, then sell these accounts.

For example, they would set up an email account, then create accounts with the major bookmark sites, and sell these for a low cost, transfering all the info to you.

Of course, you're free to set up your own.

I would rather have 20 or so DEDICATED folks with multiple accounts, than 100's of curious "wannabes".

   Kurt,

I would probably be better off being a customer right now.

However, I am considering hosting my own bookmarking site.

   Is this still open ?

I have already had experience with bookmarking exchange You should be carefully with digg ! Because if they find your username etc on forum they will ban. But takes some security rules and all goes fine

I am in !!!!!!!

Top Hat came up with a good idea. Instead of bookmarking each other's pages, you would trade log in info.

Let's say you have 100 acounts. You would trade log in info of 10 accounts with me and get access to 10 of my accounts.

Then each person uses the accounts as needed.

We'll try to come up with a list and more details soon...

Ok, here's the deal.

Start with the 7 RSS friendly sites posted on "Social Bookmarking RSS Feeds":
http://www.dombom.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=64&forum=DCForumID42

Don't forget Digg and StumbleUpon...

You can also join any others you want, but keep them popular so they will be of value here.

Use the same user name and password for each "batch".

You can only trade each batch with one other person.

Use a proxy/diffent IPs for each batch you sign up for.

Expect agressive use of your memberships.

Use shared memberships to promo your tin sites.

Here's how it works...Create 7+ different social bookmarking membership accounts, then post what you have (list each service) and what you want in exchange.

Once you find a willing partner, you simply exchange lists, user name and password.

The benefit is that you get access to twice as many memberships to bookmark all your stuff. By trading access info, you aren't depending on others to get something done, and you can take action and get results on your own time table.

The biggest security risk is that others will have access to at least part of your blog network.

I know Top Hat is ready for some trading.

If you are making a lot of accounts at one sitting, then it's a good idea to use a different IP. But if you only sign up for one or two a day, then it's not a problem.

You don't want to sit there for hours typing captchas only to find out the next day all your accounts are gone.
